“Oh the Places You’ll Go” – Dr. Seuss
As we turn the corner on 2020 and all that was and has been, we look at“Oh the Places You Went”.
We have gone to despair, to hope, to resistance, to wreckage, to failure, to futility, to madness, and to love.
We have also gone to the moments, not so much the big picture, but the moments of connection and loss and heartbreak and love again.
We have been walking around in circles bumping into each other not seeing which way to go and yet we keep walking.
We endure. We rise. We fight sometimes against invisible foes, but we also fight for that we which we hold dear and those that we love.
This is a traditional time of gratitude, but It is also a time for forgiveness.
To forgive that which we are not and those that disappoint.
We can be harsh with ourselves and others and no great lessons come from a good beating – you only learn what not to do and what not to be.
So gratitude and forgiveness are twin flames and should be introduced together.
There is always something or someone to be grateful for, and there is always something to forgive.
Have a joyous Thanksgiving – Celebrating the life you have.
