There is no redeeming value to suffering. Discomfort yes, but suffering, No.
A good deal of suffering comes from indecisiveness. Straddling two sides of a conflict. Vacillating back and forth, looking for signs on which way to go. The signs are always there, it’s that we are either choose to ignore them or are constantly reinterpreting them based on the last conversation we had.
Resolution begins to eliminate the suffering and introduces liberation.
You either step into something or step out of something – and either way, there will be loss.
That’s really where the indecisiveness and suffering come from – fear of loss.“If I make this decision, I will lose that… If I make that decision, I will lose this.”
It is true: with every decision there is a loss of one of those things but with every indecision there’s the loss of both things.
An interesting life is made up of difficult decisions.
A life of despair comes from indecisiveness.
A life of regret comes from thinking you could have done something differently.
