It’s not one of those situations where you wake up and discover everything you thought, everything you believed in was a lie- it’s more like you wake up to find your bed is on the ceiling and your ceiling fan is on the floor and water is flowing upward. We are all desperately using all the tools, all the aphorisms, all the self-talk, all the mystical journeys to navigate an upside down world. A world that is riddled with anxiety and yet we have to act. Now, there has never been a time when we haven’t had to face daunting circumstances. Heroic acts abound. The only differences that there is a different face that is being presented. A worried face, an uncertain face as to what actions to take and where to go. Deep creases etched in our forehead and sizable parallel worried lines between our eyebrows from way too much thinking. If you’re paid to think, OK. Then otherwise, probably better to not. |
