In times where there doesn’t seem like there is any way out of the abject despair and the insurmountable violence and chaos that is in your face and sometimes right in your house, whats a person to do?
You have to continually affirm life and love. It is not easy in the face of heartbreak and heartache. It’s not easy to get up again and again and find love in your heart. The world is putting many obstacles in front of us, that would have us close off, hunker down and become cynical. I don’t concern myself with the notion that affirming life and love will make any difference, have any impact on the state of the world. I concern myself with how I want to live my life. There are always options to cave, to give up, to lash out, that’s easy it’s opening your heart again that’s hard.
