As the year nears completion, we do a review of what that year yielded both personally and globally.
It’s been a year of crisis, more people have been impacted by difficulties and challenges.
It’s not been easy-so many people have been hit by the virus of divisiveness and violence, it’s hit our world, our domestic lives, our children.
We don’t need to agree, but we need to know how to align.
Hard to build when there is such abject disagreement and rage about what to get behind.
We can cite many extraordinary events again, both personally and globally, it’s just that those don’t get highlighted with the same attention.
As we wrap up the year there are two steps forward and then a slide backwards. The market has shown signs of a surge-and there are other indicators of some sunlight peeking through.
Even older people have gotten a favorable forum in the form of The Golden Bachelor- Bodes well for me.
Looking to be counting our blessings instead of our “likes” seems to be a better way of going.
For those where your marriages or intimate relationships have broken down or have splintered into a million pieces-I am sorry and my wish is that you find a way to find grace and embrace the heartbreak knowing that there will be lessons and light down the road.
For those of you who have hit some significant financial challenges-I am sorry and my wish for you is to reach out, get advice and block out a good chunk of time to changing the direction. Don’t try to handle this fast with capricious actions, take the time to redirect your course.
For those of you who have struggled or are struggling with health breakdowns-take the time to do all things medically necessary but slow way down and find your breath. Don’t be concerned about life passing you by, that’s all that life does is pass by.
When it looks like everyone has THE LIFE, remember that they just HAVE a LIFE.
For those of you that have lost people or are in the process of losing people-I am sorry and grieving those losses are an essential part of life-People matter and missing people matters and that should never go away.
For those of you who struggle with mental and or emotional challenges-addictions-I am sorry. Reach out, ask for help-being helpless is a powerful quality, it means that help is on the way or you can reach out and get help. Helpless is not a weakness, it’s a strength.
My wish for all is connection and love.
It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy,
but it seems it’s always there-fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives,
boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends.
